Saving Lives is Top Priority for National Work Zone Awareness Week

The Kansas Department of Transportation, The American Traffic Safety Services Association, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials and other transportation organizations are working together to participate in the annual National Work Zone Awareness Week taking place April 8-12. The week-long observation brings to light the hazards and dangers that can be encountered and avoided when driving through roadway construction zones.
