Scottsdale Man Records Unmaintained ADOT Freeway Signs After Being Struck by One

Author/Presenter: Thompson, Megan
Abstract:

Scottsdale resident Jerry Savage and his wife were on their way back home from their anniversary trip when their new BMW was hit by a construction sign that came towards them after a large limo bus ahead drove over it. Their car was damaged and the repair cost was estimated to be over $7,000. The contractor, who was working with the Arizona Department of Transportation, denied their request for covering some of the damages. Ever since then Savage determines to bring attention to this safety risk by driving on Arizona freeways, capturing signs that are not being properly maintained.
