Secretary Tippett’s Remarks: Work Zone Safety Awareness Week Kickoff

Gov. Easley has declared April 9-13 as Work Zone Safety Awareness Week. Secretary Tippett joins him in calling on every North Carolinian to take responsibility on the highways to help reduce fatalities and injuries, which kicks off the 2001 Work Zone Safety Campaign, a campaign funded with federal dollars through the Governor’s Highway Safety Program.
