“Smart” Work Zones on I-80 in the Omaha Area

The Nebraska Department of Roads has installed and activated an automated work-zone system on a major on a major construction project along I-80 in the Omaha area, according to Wallace Heyen, NDOR Signing and Marking Engineer. Located just east of the Platte River to Nebraska Highway 370, the system utilizes state-of-the-art technology aimed at improving work-zone safety and efficiency.
