Speed Camera on Beltway Generates Huge Number of Tickets

Abstract:

Nearly 75,000 speed camera tickets were issued in the Suitland Road Bridge work zone during the last six months of 2017, generating $3 million in fines. These cameras decreased the amount of speeding drivers inside work zones by 90 percent, which result in a safer beltway.
