Speeding Is Hard to End, Even With Hefty Fines
Abstract:In the letter to Dr. Gridlock, Mona Grieser recommended to those putting up cameras on the streets that a grace period of at least two months be given. She thought it is important to understand how human behavior functions and to give drivers time to adjust. In his response, Dr. Gridlock took the opportunity to explain how the new Maryland state law, which took effect Oct. 1, allowing cameras in work zones works and what highway safety officials have done to maintain compliance.
