State Focusing on Work Zone Safety

Abstract:

The Texas Department of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration, the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, the American Traffic Safety Services Association, and other roadway safety and construction organizations will participate in the 2003 National Work Zone Awareness Week observance April 6 – 12 to raise awareness and educate motorists about taking precautions in highway work zones. The observance, scheduled the second week of April every year, is a national effort designed to increase public awareness of work zone safety.
