State House Passes Bill Banning Use of Hand-Held Cell Phones While Driving

House Bill 2070 passed in the Pennsylvania state House. The legislation makes using a hand-held mobile phone for calls or text messages while driving a primary offense with a $50 fine. The fine would be doubled to $100 if the offense takes place in a school zone, active work zone, highway safety corridor or emergency response area.
