State Senator Wants Beltway Speed Cameras in Work Zones Turned off After Hours
Author/Presenter: Schuster, SteveAbstract:
State Sen. Jim Brochin is unhappy with Maryland’s current speed camera law and plans to reintroduce a bill that would limit the use of speed cameras in construction zones to times when workers are present. Prior to proposing this bill, Brochin sent a letter to Neil Pedersen, the State Highway administrator, addressing his concerns about having a speed monitor in place issuing violations when there is no highway construction in progress. Pedersen’s response was less than satisfactory.
