This handbook has been provided by the Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration. It is designed to provide assistance to SHA inspectors, project engineers, contractors and other personnel in understanding the quality classifications and acceptability requirements regarding temporary traffic control devices and their suitability for placement in work zones.
