Tennessee Now Providing Slowdown Alerts to Truck Drivers Through Drivewyze Smart Roadways

Author/Presenter: Hume, Jenna
Abstract:

This article reports on Tennessee’s deployment of Drivewyze Smart Roadways technology across 2,800 miles of interstate highways. The system uses real-time traffic analytics from INRIX to deliver sudden slowdown alerts directly to truck drivers, aiming to reduce collisions and improve highway safety. The alerts are issued two to three miles in advance of slowdowns and are integrated through the Drivewyze platform, which is used by commercial fleets nationwide.
