Tougher Rules for Use of Road Signs
Author/Presenter: Nolan, PatAbstract:
The Victorian government has been receiving many reports claiming reduced speed zone signs are being left in place even after work zone construction has been completed. The Victorian government has decided to put a stop to this practice by implementing stricter rules on VicRoads and contractors. The code to be implemented states that only during exceptional circumstances will the work zone speed limit be set more than 20 km/h below the normal speed limit. This will create a smoother and more uniform traffic flow for Victorian motorists.
