Abstract:

This Engineering Instruction (EI 08-036) enables barrier and shadow vehicles to use either truck mounted impact attenuators or trailer mounted impact attenuators meeting NCHRP 350 approval. It has the changes made to Barrier and shadow vehicles, and the Scope, Materials requirements, Basis of approval, and Basis of acceptance of truck mounted and trailer mounted impact attenuators.
