TxDOT Pilot Program Includes Color Dynamic Messages to Help Warn El Paso Drivers

The Texas Department of Transportation started a pilot program to include color dynamic messages on traffic signs in El Paso. Research has shown adding color graphics to traffic signs reduces the time motorists need to recognize a message. Currently, there are two types of messages displayed for drivers, one is the construction symbol and the second is to inform drivers of water on roadways.
