WATCH: State Police, DOT Plan Crackdown on Work Zone Violations in Rochester, Hornell

New York State Police and New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) launched “Operation Hardhat,” a joint effort to crack down on work zone violations and highlight the importance of safe driving through active construction and maintenance work zones on state highways. Members of State Police will patrol several active work zones throughout DOT’s Rochester and Hornell regions to ticket motorists who disobey flaggers, speed through the work zone, or violate the state’s Move Over Law.
