Work Safety Areas Focus of TxDOT Awareness Program

Laredoans are being urged this week to pay specifal attention to work zones as TxDOT promotes National Work Zone Safety Awareness Week. Most of the people killed or injured in work zone crashes are motorists, not workers. TxDOT officials reported that there are about 1,200 work zones on Texas highways, which averages one work zone every 65 miles.
