Work Zone Speed Limit Reductions

Abstract:

This Engineering Instruction (EI) provides guidance for Traffic, Design, Maintenance, and Construction personnel in establishing requirements for speed reductions in work zone. This EI covers the topics: Definitions, Speed control methods, Speed limit reductions in work zones, Selecting and approving speed limit reductions in work zones, Authorization for regulatory speed limit reductions in work zones, Authorization for advisory speed postings in work zones, Regulatory speed limit reduction signs in work zones, Advisory speed limit signs in work zones, and some Exhibits.
