Construction Safety: Personal Protective Equipment

Examples of personal protective equipment (PPE) include items such as gloves, foot and eye protection, hearing protection, hard hats, respirators, and more. This course is part of the Construction Safety Awareness series, which focuses on job site safety and health hazards.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Explain how to properly use PPE;
• Explain the basics of a hazard assessment;
• List the types of PPE; and
• Describe appropriate PPE for a variety of circumstances.
