Data-Driven Work Zone Performance Evaluation Workshop
The Federal Highway Administration hosted a 4-hour virtual workshop to bring State Departments of Transportation (DOTs) together to collaborate on the state-of-practice and innovations in conducting data-driven work zone performance measurement. This interactive workshop covered a variety of performance measures in safety, mobility, and agency efficiency performance areas applied by different States. Workshop participants discussed noteworthy practices, opportunities, resources, and data needs to develop and implement a programmatic and project-level evaluation of work zone performance. The workshop addressed a wide range of traditional and emerging performance measures that agencies can use with varying levels of data availability and analytical resources.
