National Work Zone Safety Week Press Conference

Nebraska Safety Council (NSC) hosted a Press Conference on Monday, April 9, 2018 in cognition of five Nebraska families personally touched by work zone or roadside crashes. These family members retouched on their stories. NSC has developed a social media and radio campaign that ran during the month of April across the state. Governor Ricketts has signed a proclamation recognizing the dangers to work zone employees, first responders, and tow truck operators working near the road. Other speakers include Director Kyle Schneweis of the Nebraska DOT, Colonel John Bolduc of the Nebraska State Patrol, and Chief Micheal Despain of the Lincoln Fire and Rescue.
