“Safer Driving, Safer Roads”

“Safer Driving, Safer Roads” is intended to serve as an umbrella for all existing highway-safety communications efforts. “Safer Driving, Safer Roads” is a combination of initiatives designed to reduce death and injury on Kansas roads. The program incorporates media, education, and law enforcement. The program has several key emphasis areas including occupant protection, impaired driving, work zone safety, bicycle and pedestrian safety, and motorcycle safety. “Safer Driving, Safer Roads” incorporates several awareness logos including: “Click it or Ticket”, “Over the Limit, Under Arrest”, “Give ’em a Brake”, and “Move Over”. The Kansas Department of Transportation has developed campaigns to highlight the importance of each of the emphasis areas.
