Work Zone Safety High Visibility Enforcement Campaign

The 2005 Work Zone Safety High Visibility Enforcement Campaign is a joint initiative of the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT), the South Carolina Department of Public Safety (SCDPS), the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), local law enforcement agencies, the SC Law Enforcement Networks, Carolinas Associated General Contractors (AGC) and the SC Municipal Association.. The campaign ran from April 8 – October 31, 2005, with four specific enforcement blitz periods. This initiative aims at reducing work zone crashes and fatalities in South Carolina.
