Flagger training and certification requirements

From State of Hawaii Department of Transportation Highways Division Addendum No. 1 – For Furnishing of Highway Traffic Control at Various Locations Island of Hawaii:
“The Contractor, including its traffic control staff, shall have the required nationally recognized Work Zone Traffic Control Safety – Flagger or Work Zone Safety Inspection training and certification that meets or exceeds the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) standards. The State shall require the successful bidder to submit current and valid certifications for verification prior to the contract award or at any time during the contract. Certifications shall be completed within a maximum of 4 years, or as required by the certification agency.”
