Traffic control for volunteer litter pickup crews
The only traffic control that the state provides for litter pickup crews from the Adopt-A-Highway program is a 36″x36″ diamond fold-down sign below the Adopt-A-Highway sign that says “Litter Crew Working.” The state asks the litter crews to fold these signs down prior to working on the highway. Workers are required to wear orange vests when picking up litter. There are no litter crews from any other program picking up trash on Kansas roadways.
