Alabama DOT Seeks to Change Public Notice Law
Abstract:Newspaper mistakes in advertising state highway construction projects have delayed road projects five times since late 2003 and cost the state $202,354, state transportation officials said Wednesday. The officials want the Legislature to change state law so that projects won’t have to be postponed and rebid when a mistake is made in publishing legal notices in a newspaper.
