ARTBA Wins National Award for Work Zone Safety Project

The American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) has been selected as a winner in the 2000 “Associations Advance America” awards. ARTBA received the recognition for its efforts to promote safety in roadway construction zones through the National Work Zone Safety Information Clearinghouse. The Clearinghouse is a joint partnership of the Federal Highway Administration and ARTBA, aimed at reducing the more than 700 deaths and 37,000 injuries that occur each year in these sites. This marks the second national award ARTBA has received for the Clearinghouse project.
