Bill Targets Reckless Driving in Work Zones

After the death of a highway worker due to negligent driving in a work zone, Delegate Galen Clagett, a Democrat of Frederick, Maryland proposes stricter punishments for accidents caused by negligent driving in work zones. Clagett’s bill calls for a fine of up to $1,000 and a prison sentence of up to 90 days for reckless driving in a work zones.
