Caltrans Campaign Urges Motorists to Move Over to Protect Highway Workers

In light of three Caltrans highway worker fatalities, California Department of Transportation kicked off a statewide campaign on Monday with a new “Move Over” message to educate the public on the importance of moving over a lane to protect highway workers and police officers. The campaign includes posting the “Move Over” message on electronic highway signs and issuing a public-service announcement to television stations statewide reinforcing the “Move Over” message.
