Caltrans Halts Maintenance Work in Wake of Worker’s Death

Workers will be pulled off maintenance projects statewide after the third death since May. Richard Gonzalez, the third CalTrans worker to die on the job since may, was picking up trash along I-15 when he was struck by a car. CalTrans has called for a safety stand down in the wake of these deaths.
