Caltrans Shares Video of Big Rig Tumbling off NorCal Highway After Ignoring Road Signs

A truck hauling cargo overturned and fell off the side of a highway in Mendocino County Thursday after its driver, Christopher Cortez, ignored multiple signs notifying motorists that any vehicle over 39 feet in length is prohibited as he neared the construction zone. Cortez was injured but cited for not heeding traffic restrictions in a construction zone. According to Caltrans, Cortez is not the first driver to attempt the feat.
