Children of Fallen Highway Workers Get ARTBA Funds
Abstract:The American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) Foundation has awarded scholarships to seven students for the 2025–2026 academic year through its initiative supporting the children of transportation construction workers killed on the job. Established in 1999, the program offers up to $10,000 annually for post-secondary education. Since its inception, more than 225 scholarships have been granted across 33 states. The 2025 recipients include students from Texas, South Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Alabama who are pursuing studies in fields such as nursing, architecture, biomedical sciences, graphic design, and sports medicine. The program honors the legacy of fallen highway workers by helping their children pursue higher education.
