Colorado DOT and Partners to Unveil Self-Driving Work Zone Vehicle

Royal Truck & Equipment, a US manufacturer of truck mounted attenuator (TMA)  trucks, is to unveil the Colorado Department of Transportation autonomous attenuator truck, along with partners at Colas UK and Micro Systems.   The Autonomous Impact Protection Vehicle (AIPV) is a self-driving TMA truck that increases work zone safety by removing the driver from a truck that is designed to be hit.
