Police in Colorado Springs have begun issuing fines through newly deployed mobile speed cameras designed to curb speeding in high-risk areas. The Colorado Springs Police Department mounted the cameras on vehicles that can be relocated throughout the city, focusing enforcement on construction zones, neighborhoods, municipal parks, and especially school zones. After a one-month warning period, citations began on January 12.
