Construction Worker Killed by Truck

Author/Presenter: Eldeib, Duaa; Sadovi, Carlos
Abstract:

The recent death of 33 year old Aurelio Rosales, a construction worker for Midwest Fence, demonstrates the dangers associated with highway construction work. Rosales was struck by a semitrailer while repairing a barrier fence on an Interstate off ramp. Citing the data posted on the the National Work Zone Safety Information Clearinghouse web site, the author pointed out that Rosales is the 22nd person and third construction worker killed in Illinois work zones this year.
