Continued Crashes, Injuries and a Fatality in I-75 Construction Zone Prompts Action

Author/Presenter: Harrison-Martin, Jackie
Abstract:

To address the growing number of crashes caused by speeding and distracted drivers, the Michigan Department of Transportation is implementing additional safety measures along the I-75 Rouge River construction work zones.  Those measures include placing rumble strips, extending concrete barrier walls, reducing speed limits in work zones, installing signs to alert truck drivers, and increasing the presence of law enforcement.
