County Calls for Protection of Highway Workers

The County of Grande Prairie’s public works department is asking the province to include maintenance workers in Bill 215, the Traffic Safety (Tow Trucks) Amendment Act, which was introduced by Grande Prairie-Wapiti MLA Wayne Drysdale last year. Drysdale’s bill would allow tow truck operators to install white and blue warning lights to better encourage motorists to slow down.
