Fatal Work Injuries in Texas Increase

Abstract:

The number of fatal occupational injuries occurring in Texas increased sharply in 1998, according to a study released today by the Texas Workers’ Compensation Commission. A total of 523 fatal occupational injuries occurred in Texas in 1998, an increase of 14 percent from the 459 incidents recorded in 1997.
