Abstract:This guide provides guidelines on the application of temporary markings in highway work zones. It summarizes information from various sources when considering placement and removal of temporary pavement marking. The guide is designed for use by traffic control supervisors and other contractor field staff and provides easy access to information from multiple sources. It will also be helpful for highway agency staff in evaluating temporary pavement markings.
