Highway Construction Employment Increased in June as Work Continues

According to the latest data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, highway, street, and bridge contractors added 13,700 jobs in June compared to May. This was in line with job gains in June 2019. While most sectors of the construction industry increased employment between May and June, the number of workers was still below June 2019 levels.
