Illinois DOT Offers Highway Construction Training Program with Incentives
Abstract:The Federal Highway Administration approved a $10 per hour training incentive to prime contractors who hire graduates of the Illinois Department of Transportation’s Highway Construction Careers Training Program to work on federally funded projects. The program consists of eight to ten weeks of hands-on training, and is offered by ten community colleges around the state. The same incentive has been in place for state funded projects for several years.
