Despite concerns, recent data suggests positive outcomes, with several localities reporting reductions in crashes. However, questions persist regarding the effectiveness of these measures and their potential financial burden on drivers. This article examines the adoption and impact of speed camera programs in various Virginia communities, highlighting both their benefits and challenges.
