International Harmonization of Testing and Evaluation Procedures for Roadside Safety Features – German Testing Procedures

This Circular contains the proceedings of a workshop sponsored by the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Committee A1A04 on Roadside Safety Features and the Federal Highway Administration. The workshop was held January 13-14, 1991, in Washington, D.C., U.S.A. This workshop presentation discusses the German standard for permanent safety barriers and its amendments and revisions, and German efforts toward developing European standards for performance parameters, test procedures, test equipment, and test vehicles. Also discussed are safety barriers in highway work zones.
