Kansas Highway Work Zones to be Targeted Again for Increased Enforcement; Statistics Released from 1997 Enforcement Effort

The Kansas Department of Transportation and the Kansas Highway patrol will cooperate again this year to make highway work zones safer for workers and motorists. KHP troopers will target designated work zones during the 1998 construction and maintenance season, but motorists are monitored in work zones throughout Kansas. Statistics from the 1997 season are included.
