March 31 Press Conference to Kick-Off “National Work Zone Awareness Week” – April 6-12, 2003

A March 31, 9:00 a.m. Texas Department of Transportation press conference aimed at creating work zone safety awareness in highway construction and roadway maintenance areas is about two weeks away. TxDOT’s on-going work zone safety campaign titled “Give Us A Brake” will be the focal message of this year’s grass roots approach highlighting risks work crews face day-in and day-out in the performance of their duties.
