PennDOT Announces Highway Deaths Dropping

Abstract:

Highway deaths in Pennsylvania dropped to a 14-year low in 2008, and aggressive driving fatalities in the state were down significantly from the previous year. The decline in fatalities can largely be attributed to a crackdown on aggressive driving, which accounted for 29 of the highway deaths in the county last year. Efforts are also under way to protect construction crews working on roadways.
