Rise in DOT Work Zone Injuries Triggers New Safety Campaign

Abstract:

Distracted driving has been the cause for 21 work zone crashes during this construction season in New York. The state launched a new campaign focusing on the importance of safety driving in work zones and the dangers of distracted driving. Two PSAs were released to encourage New Yorkers to follow directions given by flaggers.
