Road Workers Appeal to Motorists to Drive Safely

Author/Presenter: Dalton, Melinda
Abstract:

A worker was killed while setting up traffic control in Waterloo in February by a man charged with dangerous driving. Every year, there are over 2,100 collisions in road construction zones in Ontario. As construction season approaches, The Ontario Road Builders’ Association has launched a social media campaign, a Facebook page titled Safety: A Two Way Street, aimed at reaching out to younger drivers and encouraging road workers to share their stories about how distracted driving and speeding affects their jobs.
