Roadway Construction “Caught-In” Series: Trenching and Excavations: Additional Instructor Background Information
Abstract:According to the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), “caught-in” or “caught-between” hazards are one of the leading causes of death and injury in the construction industry. Trenches and excavations are a source of caught-in incidents. This fact sheet provides tips on how trainers can conduct training on preventing those caught-in or caught-between incidents.
