Salem Man Killed in Work Zone Crash

Gregory Priest, a Salem man, was struck and killed by an intoxicated driver while putting up construction signs on South New Era Road in Canby. In the past 10 years, there is an average of 475 work zone-related crashes in Oregon every year. The Oregon Department of Transportation is investing nearly $3.8 million of federal funds on special work zone traffic patrols and educating the public on work zone safety between July 2011 and June 2013.
