The UHP Is Targeting Speeding in Work Zones

Author/Presenter: Baird, Joe
Abstract:

Motorists are still driving too aggressively and routinely flouting construction zone speed limits in the Interstate 15 corridor through Salt Lake County. The Utah Highway Patrol cracked down on both Monday. UHP ratcheted up its I-15 coverage with 10 extra patrol cars and 21 motorcycles in a bid to get drivers to back off and slow down. And motorists can count on seeing additional troopers on I-15 for at least the rest of the week, according to UHP spokesman Derek Jensen.
